Secretariat

What is the Secretariat?

The Secretariat is the name given to the diocesan body which has the general responsibility for the life and direction of the Cursillo Movement in a diocese, under the authority of the Bishop of Dallas and the Bishop of Fort Worth.

The Secretariat coordinates the efforts of those involved in the local movement. The movement looks to the Bishops to guide it and point our how its participants may assist the overall mission of the Church.  Composed of lay and clerical members of the Church who have identified active, committed Christian witness as their apostolate, participants seek ways to use their gifts and offer their labors in a coherent and effective way to the glory of God.

The Function of the Secretariat?

  • To maintain ties with the National Episcopal Cursillo
  • To oversee the working of the Servant Community
  • To establish policies and procedures which will assure an active Fourth Day program
