COST
The weekend will cost $65 per person (including each sponsor). Since the number
is limited, it is necessary that fees accompany the registration forms. This
will ensure spaces for your group. Deadline for
registration is ten days before the weekend. Registration forms received after that date may not be
accepted, so send in early. Please note: the weekend fills up fast the last
weekend of registration. Money will only be refunded if the
weekend is filled or canceled. Master Card, Visa and Discover are accepted.
Call the Renewal Center for details. Please make your checks to: The
Episcopal Center for Renewal
BRING TO NEW BEGINNINGS
Participants and sponsors are asked to bring a sleeping bag, comfortable
clothes, medications in their original container, any musical instrument they
play and a snack to share.
LEAVE AT HOME
School books, preconceived ideas, unfriendly attitudes, formal
"church" clothes, hang-ups, alcoholic beverages, drugs, cigarettes,
funny smelling smokes, radios, cassette and CD players and your chores.
SPONSORS
Each Church that sends as few as three participants to New Beginnings must send
an adult sponsor (over age 21). If more than five participants are coming from
a single church, there must be one adult sponsor for every five participants. Clergy and Youth Leader's (if applicable) signatures are
required on form to be accepted. If there is a weekend sponsor, please fill out
the information below the contract. The adult sponsor is
responsible for bringing their participants to the weekend, serving as a
support person to the Family Group Leader during the entire weekend, ensuring
cabin used by their group is clean, all "found" items taken home, and
taking the participants home. This weekend usually touches each sponsor in a
very special way.
If you don't have a sponsor from your church, please call the Renewal Center.
NOTE: Team members are required to stay until take down
is completed which is about 2:00 PM.
