CURSILLO LEADERS WORKSHOP (CLW)

The Cursillo Leaders Workshop is designed for those who wish to know more about the Movement and how to use it more effectively. They include participants from several dioceses. It renews one’s enthusiasm for Cursillo by sharing the methods and strategy of the founders. A valuable part of the workshop provides for the exchange of ideas between leaders of different dioceses. The CLW encourages the use of Cursillo as a powerful tool for the mission of the Church.

The major purposes of the CLW are

(1) To deepen the commitment to Christ and the living of a life in Christ among the leaders of the Cursillo Movement

(2) To clarify the purpose and method of the Cursillo Movement, especially the 4^th Day and the development of team leaders. It is a “mini” course in the Cursillo tools.

(3) To give leaders in the movement a clear understanding of their roles and of the methods they have at their disposal to make the Cursillo Movement an effective instrument in the work of the Church and the restoration of all things in Christ.

(4) To help the leadership of Diocesan Cursillo Movements across the country deal with problems they may have and assist them in finding ways to make their respective movements more effective.

The CLW attempts to present the founders’ view, not views, which the team members have worked out. It is an attempt to make this official view more accessible and easily understood. The CLW provides a total view of the Movement, a vision of the leaders’ role in the Movement.

The Secretariat for the Dioceses of Dallas and Fort Worth will be hosting a Cursillo Leaders Workshop on October 23 - 24, 2010 at Camp Crucis in Granbury. The cost for the workshop is $65.00 which covers housing, meals and the workshop. We were able to keep the cost low by using the cabins. A deposit of $35 by September 30^th will secure your reservation for this informative workshop. Cursillo Libraries will be available for $37.50. The CLW begins at 10 AM on Saturday and ends around 4 PM on Sunday.
