In 1979, the Renewal Center began a series of missions to the British Isles to introduce Cursillo, Happening and New Beginnings. This was the birth of our International Ministries.
In 1999 we took Happening and later Cursillo to the very impoverished country of Malawi in Central Africa. In 2002, w went into the Diocese of Maseno South with Happening, Cursillo, and New Beginnings. In 2008 the Diocese of Maseno South agreed to be a hub for Renewal Programs in Eastern Africa. It began with them inviting four other Kenyan dioceses, a Tanzanian diocese, and one Ugandan diocese along with a small team from the Renewal Center to experience a Happening. It was very successful and the lives of all the participants were changed. The ECR has been back to support programs every year since.
Christ's Great Commission is being fulfilled through His grace and the generous donations of money and volunteers as we prepare for and staff each of these programs.
